14.0-Sodium calcium bottle glass composition


Based on the SiO 2-CAO -Na2O ternary system, sodium and calcium bottle glass ingredients are added with Al2O 3 and MgO. The difference is that the content of Al2O 3 and CaO in bottle glass is relatively high, while the content of MgO is relatively low. No matter what type of molding equipment, beer bottles, liquor bottles, cans can be used this type of ingredients, just according to the actual situation to do some fine tuning.

Its components (mass fraction) ranged from SiO 27% to 73%, A12O 32% to 5%, CaO 7.5% to 9.5%, MgO 1.5% to 3%, and R2O 13.5% to 14.5%. This type of composition is characterized by moderate aluminum content and can be used to save costs by using silica sand containing Al2O3 or using feldspar to introduce alkali metal oxides. CaO+MgO has a high volume and a fast hardening speed.

 

In order to adapt to higher machine speed, part of MgO is used instead of CaO to prevent glass crystal from being crystallized in the flow hole, the feed path and the feeder. Moderate Al2O3 can improve the mechanical strength and chemical stability of glass.
