Over time, vodka brought the world together. Here are some of the most important aspects to start with. The history of vodka began in Russia in the 14th century. Vodka at the time was distilled from grapes and was considered a spirit as it was a combination of English spirits and wine. In 1430, monk Isidore invented the first Russian recipe for vodka, which is a bread wine with a low alcohol content (ABV no more than 40%) and many call it “burning wine” Poland also has a history of vodka at the same time around the beginning of the 14th century. Vodka was widely used as a medicine in early Poland, but in the early 16th century, Polish writers discovered that vodka could be used for other purposes, such as boosting fertility and libido. There are many historic Polish vodka blends dating back to the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Apparently, over time, vodka has become more widely accepted in Poland as a leisure drink and not just as a medicine.
